As one of five publically elected executives on the board of directors, I share fiduciary responsibilities for the oversight and management of the largest independent water district in Texas with over $ 1 billion in operating assets. We also proudly oversee the Exploration Green Project recently reviewed by FEMA as \"A Case Study in Effective Floodplain Management.\" See the uploaded report,\"Exploration Green - A FEMA case study.\" Our board meets monthly for regular public meetings and sporadically throughout each month as needed to properly manage the Authority\'s affairs. The Authority was created on May 6, 1963, to provide, operate, and maintain waterworks systems, sanitary sewer systems, storm sewer systems, and drainage facilities to serve land within its 13,500-acre boundaries.
