In my role at KIPP Columbus Middle School, I lead with joy, urgency, and purpose. I coach our ELA teachers, strengthen our literacy systems, and ensure our scholars receive high-quality, equitable instruction every single day. My work includes designing intervention supports, launching and coaching up teachers of the Literacy Lab, and helping teachers build classrooms grounded in engagement, clarity, and strong routines.I lead by centering culture, consistency, and belonging. Whether I am supporting a teacher, analyzing student data, guiding literacy instruction, or partnering with families, my goal is always the same: help students become confident, capable readers who believe in their brilliance.What I Do-Coach and support teachers so they can deliver strong, aligned ELA instruction-Run our MS Literacy Lab and ensure high-quality assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring-Use data to identify trends and build plans that accelerate growth-Partner with students, families, and staff to create safe, structured learning spaces-Lead culture, routines, and systems that help every scholar thrive.
