About Veronique Vernot
Veronique Vernot is an internationally recognized attorney who currently serves as Lead Safety Counsel and Product Counsel for gUP Support at Google. In this role, she advises on product safety, risk management, and complex regulatory and product counseling matters supporting Google’s global platforms.Previously, Veronique served as Senior Legal Counsel at Apple Inc, where she focused on Product Integrity, including product safety and reliability, as well as AppleCare AI & ML initiatives. Earlier in her tenure at Apple, she advised on global supply chain transactions and environmental technologies. In recognition of her leadership and impact, she was selected as a 2022 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Pathfinder.Veronique has also held roles outside of the technology sector, including serving as a litigator for Mercedes-Benz USA, where she handled class actions and product liability matters. She additionally represented the IRS Office of Chief Counsel in U.S. Tax Court under the Third-Year Practice Act.She is currently a Director on the West Virginia University Alumni Association Board. During law school at West Virginia University, Veronique was awarded the W.E.B. DuBois Fellowship for scholastic achievement and community service. She also served as a member of the Moot Court Team, a Student Ambassador with the Office of Admissions, and a Student Representative on the Visiting Committee.Veronique earned her dual JD/MBA from West Virginia University’s College of Law and Chambers College of Business and Economics in 2017 and completed her BBA in Marketing from Mercer University in 2014.
