As a seasoned Big Data Engineer with over four years of experience in Enterprise Data Product development, Varun specializes in AWS Cloud Technologies like S3, Kinesis, EMR, Spark, Glue, Iceberg, and Airflow.Currently working as a Software Data Engineer at GoDaddy, Varun has collaborated with Product Managers, Analysts, and Data Scientists to build and maintain datasets across product areas like Jira & Services, DIFY, Care, Digital Care & DRI. He designed and developed use case-driven Data products & SLA-configured pipelines, ingest raw data from various APIs, and migrate legacy on-premises pipelines to SPARK, S3, and Redshift arch. Additionally, Varun has created Python utilities to perform tasks like data deduplication, slack alerts, Redshift upload templates, EMR, STEP function Python functions, S3 sensors, etc.Previously, Varun worked at RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing Corp. as a Data & BI Engineer, where he utilized SQL & Python libraries like pandas, NumPy, and requests to extract and wrangle data from REST API endpoints. He also created SSIS ETL packages to calculate KPIs, developed BI dashboards and reports using Tableau and Excel Pivot, Optimized SQL queries, and designed experiments to improve business KPIs. Additionally, He utilized regression modeling to create models like the best time to call, retention analysis, loan risk models, etc.Varun holds an M.S. in Information Technology Management from The University of Texas at Dallas and a B.E. in Computer Engineering from Mumbai University.
