About Vignesh Sivakumar

I have been very passionate about math and computer science from my childhood. I have excelled in both the areas during my school and undergrad college days. Having taken up Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering in my undergrads, I have gained insightful knowledge about Speech processing, Natural Language Processing and Signal Processing. I do have a good understanding of programming languages such as C, Java and Python and database management systems like SQL. I have used this knowledge into effect in my major project titled ‘Web Based Health Monitoring System’ where I used programming languages Python and JavaScript to build web page and SQL for storing large data sets of patients. I have even published a research paper on the same in the national journal AWMC. I have worked in NEC Software Solutions for 3 years which has helped me enhance my skillsets further. I have learned new programming languages as well as new tools and technologies. In my role in the company, I have worked with huge sets of data and tested them using tools like Selenium, Cucumber. I have learned few AI and ML tools and implemented them on data sets. Having worked closely with clients and having frequent discussions, my interpersonal, communication skills and problem-solving skills has greatly improved. Currently, I am pursuing MS in Data Analytics Engineering from Northeastern University. I have taken relevant coursework like Data Management, Data Mining and Machine Learning. Here, I am acquiring knowledge of SQL, NoSQL and common ML framework and deep learning libraries like PyTorch and TensorFlow. I am actively looking for Data Scientist/ Data Engineering/ Machine Learning Engineer full time opportunities starting May 2024.
