Working within the Technology & Process Optimisation business unit to lead the technical planning, execution, and delivery of on-board connectivity improvement solutions for Eurostar\'s high-speed trains. Coordinating engineering teams, stakeholders, vendors and ensuring the successful deployment of a competitive Proof of Concept (PoC) trial to enhance passenger experience and operational efficiency.Responsibilities- Developing the PoC Business Case for approval by Eurostar\'s Commitment Board- Developing supplier contracts and leading negotiations- Drafting the technical specification document for RFPs from suppliers- Leading the engineering design for the deployment of 5G cellular antennas, routers, access points and interior antennas for an high-speed environment- Developing the target network architecture and utilising VLANs to segregate homogeneous systems on the same physical network- Developing the SIM card strategy for maximum cellular performance across four countries: UK, France, Belgium and Netherlands- Developing the methodology for measuring cellular and Wi-Fi performance and coverage- Developing the customer satisfaction survey and methodology to obtain feedback from passengers- Keeping up-to-date with new communications technologies e.g. sectorised cellular and low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite (e.g. Starlink) antennas for future deployment- Coordinating with various internal (e.g. IT, IS Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Legal, Customer Experience) and external stakeholders- Managing and coordinating multiple suppliers concurrently- Producing weekly RAG status and monthly project status reports- Creating and maintaining the integrated project plan, project milestones, invoice milestones and project tracking through utilising a RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, and Decisions) register- Leading monthly SteerCo\'s on behalf of the Eurostar CTO (Project Sponsor).
