I’m a mission-driven researcher and have spent the past 7+ years solving problems people face using technology. My favorite projects include: Making digital banking more secure for small business owners; Reducing harmful content that people see on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp; Making tablet-based games accessible for refugee students and teachers in low- resource settings.My superpowers include: Gathering insights from vulnerable groups. I’ve regularly worked with protected groups (e.g. children, refugees) with careful ethical considerations. ‍ Building expertise fast. I’ve repeatedly gone from novice to subject-matter expert in record time. ‍ Thriving in ambiguity. I’ve created roadmaps for net-new research practices & reorganized teams. Mentoring and upskilling others. I’ve trained 50+ researchers across 10 countries and have a passion for mentoring junior colleagues. Working across geography with ease. I’ve built rapport and trust quickly, across 20 countries. My work has been published in academic journals and by UNICEF and the World Bank. 🤱 I also have a passion for sharing evidence to help parents avoid misinformation during infant feeding.
