At LivePerson, I immediately tackled a major challenge: an important legacy codebase had a big problem with unit tests, a situation that had existed for years. I took the lead, re-introducing a modern testing framework (Jest) that created a shift in how the team worked. This established new best practices and empowered my colleagues to adopt a test-driven approach. I also turned my attention to our GitLab CI/CD pipelines, optimizing them to integrate crucial metrics and automate release creation. This not only improved our observability but also drastically reduced the time we spent on manual tracking.
