About Satish Kumar Voonna
Currently, I am working as a Deputy Manager at Maruti Suzuki Ltd. in the CAE domain, where I am involved in advancing CAE methodologies, automation, and implementation of new technologies in crash analysis. Prior to this, I worked as a Lead Engineer at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. in the CAE Crash department, where I gained extensive experience handling load cases related to pedestrian safety, ensuring vehicles comply with various NCAP standards and regulations. I also developed strong expertise in full-vehicle crash simulations and quasi-static simulations. Over my 4+ years at Mahindra, I built a solid foundation in crash analysis, along with some experience in durability and NVH load cases, including modal analysis as a test engineer in the NVH domain. Beyond my core engineering responsibilities, I possess strong programming skills in Python. I have developed several toolbars and automation scripts that significantly improved productivity by saving numerous hours on repetitive tasks. My ability to integrate engineering analysis with coding has enhanced efficiency across multiple processes. I hold a Master’s degree in Solid Mechanics and Design from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, where I achieved a CPI of 9.43/10 and secured second position in my specialization. My academic foundation is strong in Finite Element Methods, Continuum Mechanics, Vibration Control, and Acoustics, with both deep theoretical and practical exposure. During my studies, I further developed skills in Python, MATLAB, deep learning, machine learning, acoustics, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA). I completed my bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from GVP College, strengthening my technical and analytical capabilities.

Additionally, I actively explore and contribute to the integration of emerging technologies such as AI/ML into CAE processes.
