As a person with almost 13 years in recovery myself I play a crucial role in guiding individuals seeking help for substance use disorders using an understanding empathic approach. My primary responsibility is to assess their needs, determine the appropriate level of care, and facilitate their entry into the treatment system. This involves answering inquiries, conducting initial screenings, verifying insurance eligibility, and coordinating with various departments to ensure a smooth and supportive experience for those on their path to recovery. My other responsibilities include attending Mental Health/Substance Abuse/Resource events to build relationships with likeminded organizations to be the most affective resource to my clients that I can be.
