WORK HISTORY
C Software Developer Eu Researcher @Wandelbots
Tharandter Straße 33, DE
I am part of the Robot Integration team. We implement unified and easy to use low-level API supporting different robots/controllers from multiple vendors.I am mostly responsible for maintaining and updating UR integration, but I also expand and support a number of other integrations. As a researcher, I prototype and enhance multi-robot setups, connect robots and peripherals with focus on 24/7 stability and performance. At work I use my skills at networking (TSN, 5G, custom binary protocols), multi-threading (consistent caching, lock-free data access), real-time capabilities. The generic server is written in C, while controller server implementations are written mostly in C++.Dev tools: C17/23, C++20/23, gcc, clang, CMake, conan2, gtest, catch2, gdb, perfInfra tools: docker, helm, kubernetesSimulators: Nvidia Isaac (Omniverse), URSimOccasional Java (native + JNI), C#, Python, ROS Noetic, ROS 2 Humble

ABOUT IVAN KUDYK
As a mathematician, I look for tasks with serious maths, either discrete or continuous. I find it really satisfying to solve difficult puzzles with elegant algorithms. Being more inclined to apply my knowledge to some practical domains, I tend to read more articles on Computer Science in my working routine. As a programmer, I can offer general purpose development (C++, Python), algorithm design and analysis, distributed systems design (API, technology stack, roadmaps). I have some interest in computer vision (OpenCV), robotics and autopilots (Omniverse, CARLA, ROS) and system development (Linux, OpenSSL). Lately I have found a special pleasure in designing systems that come with twisted business logic and that force many layers of abstraction, they enable me and the development team as a whole to use different styles of programming and new approaches to extensibility of products. As a CTO, I relied on my experience in developing complex software systems for autopiloted tractors and robotic warehouse automation systems. My responsibilities included maintaining technical process: QA, code review, code guides, original development solutions. I also took part in all software related interviews and customer negotiations to make sure that the software part is the last thing to go wrong in ARS projects.
