Under limited direction, an Operations General Supervisor assists in the management of one or more specialized operational units with various departments; supervises a broad range of functions and activities including, but not limited to, fleet operations, facilities maintenance, repair, and maintenance; coordinates section activities with department managers/staff, other City managers/employees, outside vendors/contractors/agencies and the general public as required; and helps assure unit compliance with applicable laws, ordinances, and codes. Possess extensive experience and working knowledge with technologies related to transportation or parking systems including, but not limited to, acquisitions, vendor relations, system troubleshooting and testing. Have a working knowledge and experience with operations including management of front-line staff, scheduling, quality assurance and labor unions representing public sector employees.
