About Eleonor Oshitoye
Eleonor, the Belonging & Marketplace Engagement Manager works alongside an amazing JE Dunn project team to maximize opportunities for local, small, minority, women, disadvantaged & service disabled veteran-owned businesses (SMWDBE/SDVOSB). She operates as a leader in overseeing the development & implementation of programs that nurture and advocates diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives within the company, projects and the community. Eleonor enhances cross-culture understanding & competence through the development & implantation of policies, procedures, curricular & co-curricular activities that are guided by the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, engaging transparency & shared governance. She is rooted & driven with a passionate belief in fully immersing in authentic engagement with the community, local businesses, team members & trade partners, in order to have a multidimensional perspective of the needs, challenges, & backstories that will help enable her to find solutions and support to those she serves. She believes that in order to provide quality outcomes, we must first listen for understanding & embrace the rich perspectives of each individual or group and find collaborative solutions that will help move towards a positive & unified front. Eleonor previously served as president & CEO of Voices in Perspective. She assisted government agencies & large contractors in WA, OR & CA, with the development & implementation of outreach programs to help underrepresented firms build connections & increase participation in contract opportunities & sustainable development. Eleonor, is actively involved as a board member for ANEW, Construction Design & Entrepreneurs (CDE) advisory committee, Regional Pre-Apprenticeship Committee, volunteers as a mentor through Hire Heroes program, speaks and engages in other small business and community programs. She previously served as vice chair for Seattle Mayor Ed Murray’s Women & Minority Owned Business Enterprise (WMBE) Advisory Committee in Dec. The committee examined the impact of city procurement regulations, providing recommendations for strengthening contracting equity & evaluating progress toward the Mayor’s April 2014 Executive Order. She has also been actively involved in the advisory committee\'s of the Mayor\'s Priority Hire, Regional Apprenticeship Program (WA & OR), Port of Seattle\'s Project Labor Agreement, Oregon’s Diversity Practitioners Summit, Constructing Hope, Oregon Trades Women & other leadership meetings aimed at ensuring small diverse concerns & needs are addressed.
