About Vinayak Singh
Born and brought up in Mumbai, Physics graduate and introduced to computer science in final year of graduation. I find computer science interesting and completed Masters of Computer Applications from Mumbai University in 2010.Very fortunate to start my career with RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) with responsibility of taking care of net-banking projects of different geography. Gained unbelievable exposure to Java, J2EE, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Linux and WebSphere application server and BFSI domain knowledge.Spending about 4 years with RBS joined Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), This is the time when I switched from OLTP to OLAP as a member of BIGDATA COE, explored vast spectrum of open source BIGDATA technology, proposed BIGDATA solutions with stacks like Hive, Spark, HBase, Apache Phoenix to different clients of TCS during pre sales and post sales support.Currently working with JPMorgan as Senior data engineer and part of team migrated in-prem warehouse to AWS using pyspark, python, EMR, delta lake. I am Spark SME and solved many spark related issues during this migrationI love road trips and playing cricket. During weekends one can catch me on streets of Mumbai with my daughter.
