Partner with the Assistant Controller and Director of Finance to lead and motivate a team of three across AR and AP, ensuring accurate and timely execution of month-end close processes.Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, including:Conduct monthly operational reviews across multiple legal entities to validate accurate coding, classification, and allocation of AP, capital projects, and other operating expensesReview and oversee vendor ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completenessReview invoicing and AR position reports for weekly executive review, supporting collection strategy and cash flow managementLead quarterly Expected Credit Loss (ECL) and bad debt analysis, providing insights on at-risk accounts and helping prioritize collection effortsPerform analysis of customer economic dependence to assess concentration risk- Provide guidance to the Accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Participate in the review process of quarterly and annual Financial Statements and MD & A.Act as a liaison between the Finance team and various departments, including Sales, Logistics, Procurement, Production, Payroll, and Financial Reporting.Support external auditors and tax authorities by preparing audit requests, providing necessary documentation, facilitating a smooth audit process to ensure compliance and transparency.Conduct budget vs. actual analysis and quarterly variance analysis.Review general entries and journals for accuracy and compliance.Ensure accurate reconciliations, track accruals, and maintain up-to-date records of organizational assets and depreciation.Contribute to the seamless functioning of the accounting department and support informed decision-making.
