It\'s all about logistics for me at Garner. Not everyone knows that shipping millions of items required for major businesses to function would be such a complicated process with hundreds of millions of dollars lost due to lack of tracking and monitoring. We create software that helps minimize the losses. Garner is a Scala, Kubernetes and Angular shop with a focus on XP. We relentlessly refactor, test, improve, build, deploy in an iterative fashion to maximize feedback. Everyone on the team, including myself, does full-stack development from DB and domain design to UI components. Garner is growing and we are hiring. I consider myself a software development professional that is very enthusiastic about leading the teams that are tasked with building high-quality software. The term \"professional\" means a lot to me, and I am trying to abide by it. I genuinely care about the code that my teammates and I produce. I gain confidence in quality through rapid feedback, such as a failed unit test, a valid point from a colleague during a pairing session/code review, or a product owner\'s remark during a demo.I started my career at a start-up company where keeping an open mind was an absolute necessity. In coordination with hard work, that mentality progressed me through a fantastic journey working for medium-sized companies working on projects with a very high business impact.
