As a Senior Software Engineer, I leverage my expertise in Java and distributed systems to develop high-performance software solutions for the financial industry. With over 4 years of experience in this role, I have developed and launched into production a couple of products, improved system performance, optimized hotspots and ensured stability across multiple microservices.My key roles and achievements- developed from scratch and launched into production distributed and scalable platform for market data streaming, which required to coordinate and supervise 6 teams- project became standard for market data streaming within the company, evolved in a platform for serving any types of data and now serves more than 11 millions of monthly active users- Identified a cost reduction opportunity that would reduce a total cost of ownership by 40+% with opportunity to choose between performance or TCO. Collected the data, completed an experiment, produced a working artifact, approved to move further and delivered into production- after the initial platform release, become a tech lead for a cross-org engineering team (~5 SDE) to replace legacy parts, rewrote 5 services within 2 months and produced a new release- designed a scalable event-driven system, which runs in AWS, OCI clouds and on bare metal- created a JNI API for C/C++ hardware-specific compression library as a part R&D with 6x speed boost for particular cases- implemented an ultra-fast low garbage JSON serialization layer using sun.misc.Unsafe, bytecode generation and CPU optimizations, gained 20% performance boost and TCO reduction for the whole stack of services built on top of platform framework- implemented a telemetry solution for tracking user activity for audit and billing purposes- wrote guidelines for developers in team: logging, observability, best practices;
