The Director, EHS Governance and Programs is responsible for integrating environmental health and safety (EHS) into how the organization runs its business. ABOUT VANESSA LANDOLINA
Positive and dynamic female leader, just trying to get a seat at the table! After years of searching, I\'ve found my home away from home with Advance Auto Parts as the Director of EHS, Governance and Programs. I spend my days focusing on process optimization, and working with all banners to streamline environmental health and safety initiatives. This work includes implementation of key projects, such as Integrated EHS Management Systems, COVID-19 Process Management, and Environmental Program Management. Thats right, that Master\'s degree in Emergency Preparedness from Massachusetts Maritime Academy (MMA) paid off! During my undergrad, also at MMA, I traveled by land, air and sea, The most memorable including a stint in Valdez Alaska working with the Ship Escort and Response Vessel Services (SERVS) to safely bring tankers in and out of Prince William Sound, among other things. These days the boats are smaller and self propelled, so if I\'m not working with my AAP team on our latest project, or engaging with our DE & I networks, I\'m working on my paddle boarding skills on the lake! In my 15+ years of professional experience I have held true to the Learn, Do, Learn methodology. It has served me well in knowing that I can help lead the team and learn to be better today than we were yesterday.
