It is now obvious to me that the Cybersecurity industry is broken. Whilst investment in Cybersecurity is continuing, so is the increase in ransomware, cyberattacks and pay-outs! Something is not right! There is constant friction between what companies are doing versus what they can be doing. Cybersecurity practitioners in organisations need to be empowered to make the decisions rather than the stale traditional push/pull of the top down/bottom-up tug of war.
