As a Senior Capital Markets Business Systems Analyst specializing in front-office operations, I serve as a pivotal liaison between trading desks, portfolio managers, and IT teams. My role focuses on analyzing and optimizing trading workflows, ensuring seamless integration of financial systems, and enhancing decision-making processes within the capital markets domain.Key Responsibilities:Front-Office Collaboration: Engage directly with traders and portfolio managers to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into functional specifications that drive the development of trading platforms and tools.Systems Analysis & Optimization: Evaluate existing trading systems and processes to identify inefficiencies, proposing and implementing solutions that enhance performance and reduce operational risk.Trade Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end trade lifecycle, ensuring accurate trade capture, validation, and settlement processes across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange (FX).Data Mapping & Lineage: Develop and maintain comprehensive source-to-target data mappings and data lineage documentation to ensure data integrity, facilitate impact analysis, and support regulatory compliance initiatives.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that trading systems and processes adhere to regulatory requirements, including MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, and other relevant frameworks, by collaborating with compliance teams and implementing necessary system enhancements.Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to generate insights on trading activities, market trends, and system performance, supporting strategic decision-making and reporting requirements.Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional projects aimed at implementing new trading technologies or upgrading existing systems, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely and successful delivery.
