ABOUT VIVIEN WATERFIELD
A purpose-driven charity executive and board advisor with over 25 years’ experience leading national programmes and shaping strategy and cross-sector collaboration. I’ve spent my career championing early intervention, family support, and systemic change, bringing deep expertise in charity governance, organisational change, managing fundraising, communications, crisis management and developing public profile, and strategic partnerships. As Interim CEO and a former Deputy CEO at Home-Start UK I’ve built transformational relationships with government, corporate partners, and grassroots communities. I’ve led large-scale organisational development and change, developed evidence-based programmes for tackling disadvantage, and ensured that the voices of children and families remain central to decision-making. As a trustee, I bring both strategic rigour and emotional intelligence, ensuring boards are inclusive, future-focused, and impact-driven. I’m passionate about building movements, not just managing organisations, and I believe that empathy, accountability, and engagement are powerful tools for change.
