ABOUT VIVIAN NGUYEN
In June 2025, I graduated from University of California San Diego with a Bachelors in Human Biology. During my last year of college, I had an opportunity to volunteer at Moores Cancer Center, where I learned more about the role of cancer stem cells in the progression and relapse of multiple myeloma. The lab\'s overall goal is to find improved treatments in age related disorders and cancer. Being able to experience an academic lab setting encouraged me to want to work with diseases and be able to contribute to research. This summer, I was given a chance to work with the Analytical Development team at Acadia. While it differs from the academic lab experience, it has been as exciting. I was able to gain more insight on the chemistry side of a pharmaceutical company and learn more on how methods lead to drug development. These roles made me realize that I have a passion for advancement in medicine. I am excited to learn from my peers and experts, work with others to solve health challenges, and push myself to grow in this industry. Happy to connect!
