ABOUT VIVIANA DOS SANTOS
I translate Human Factors theory into applied safety solutions for emergency response, transportation, healthcare, and industrial systems. I operationalize findings from human-subjects experiments, task analysis, and simulation into SA-oriented interventions, VR-based training, system design guidelines, and decision-support tools used in safety-critical contexts. These outputs have informed situation awareness (SA) supportive technologies for emergency response, VR training design, organizational resilience assessment, and ergonomic and safety workflows redesign in industry. Across academic–practice partnerships, my work emphasizes scalable, evidence-based solutions that improve performance, support human cognition, reduce workload, guide the design of user-centered systems, and enhance safety.
