ABOUT VIVIAN DE LAS CUEVAS-DIAZ

I\'m an attorney in Holland & Knight\'s Miami office and serve as the firmwide deputy section leader of the Real Estate Section, assisting in managing the firm\'s nationwide real estate practice. My practice is supplemented by my bilingual and multicultural team that facilitates my U.S-based and international clients\' needs in their U.S-bound projects. I have extensive experience in complex real estate transactions, for both private and public clients. I also have experience in commercial lending. I have represented clients in the sale and purchase of residential and commercial properties, commercial leasing and related transactions, secured lending, mezzanine lending, commercial lending representation, title insurance, and developer representation.I have successfully represented numerous developers in the purchase and loan of multi-million dollar properties, including the $25 million purchase of 300 high-end Sunny Isles condominiums, a $15 million Brickell Avenue office building, a $15 million Miami Beach office building, and a $25 million property in Doral.My Special Assets experience and representative transactions include representation of lenders and developers nationwide with respect to forbearance, negotiation of loan modifications, restructuring and workouts on behalf of lenders and borrowers for various types of loans, deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure, note purchase and sales and foreclosures affecting numerous commercial properties located throughout the state and nation.I have been named a \"Florida Legal Elite Up & Comer\" in the Florida Trend Magazine in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009, and received a \"Hispanic Women Distinction\" in 2008. I was also named among the \"40 under 40\" outstanding lawyers of Miami-Dade County by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in 2009 as well as \"40 under 40\" by the South Florida Business Journal.
