Case management from inception to completion of cases. Manage all facets of discovery. Organize and coordinate document productions, which includes attending document reviews, analyzing and digesting documents for relevancy and privilege, prepare chronology of facts and related indices. Conduct document searches and factual research by creating and maintaining case databases such as Relativity and Clearwell. Work directly with, and act as liaison between, clients, experts, opposing and third parties. Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations and trials by gathering, organizing, and preparing documents/exhibits relevant to the deponent/witness, deposition summaries, coordinate trial set-up and logistics, assist in courtroom by taking notes, handling exhibits, marking documents, navigating Trial Director, preparation of witness testimony and serve as liaison between trial attorneys and in-house staff. Assist in motion practice by pulling relevant documents, proofreading, organizing exhibits and finding authenticated support for statements of fact. Oversee progress of supporting associates and manage collaborators assisting on cases. e-Discovery Responsibilities: Day-to-day execution of operational processes that support data retention for e-Discovery purposes. These include identifying relevant information (predominately electronically stored or created information), interviewing staff who may have relevant information, obtaining instructions as needed from attorneys, liaising with the IT discovery manager to ensure data preservation requirements are met and coordinating document collection and production efforts. Document collection and preservation, including executing searches, providing status, escalating issues and delivering final production. Work directly with Relativity project manager in setting up case data base, document review set-up, batching, issue tags, etc.
