About Vivek Subramanian
A consumer insights professional with experience in managing end to end projects across FMCG, auto, consumer electronics and e-commerce industries. I\'ve so far been instrumental to organizations as - A Qualitative insights professional: Where I provided consumer insights to a diverse set of clients across FMCG, consumer durables/electronics and automotive. As a senior research manager in Kantar, I\'ve owned the responsibility of entire projects, right from the initial stages of research proposal and client brain storming, to conducting the fieldwork and reporting to my clients the insights. The projects I conducted provided solutions to help clients align their brand positioning, optimize advertising/communication elements, evaluate product portfolio (post launch) and reposition brands and products when need be. The work naturally entailed a lot of project management and operational bits, all towards ensuring profitability of each project to ultimately exceed organization targets- An Ad man: Fresh out of MBA classrooms, as my first job I almost romanticised the idea and the ability to apply concepts of marketing and advertising straight to use for real clients and organizations. As an account management/ client servicing professional, I was responsible for working with clients (in Two wheeler, FMCG, Tobacco and Eye wear industries) to understand their brand\'s main requirement and formulate the creative brief for my team of copywriters and art directors and external vendors. My KRA was to manage the overall operational chain, right from client briefs, to final artwork deliveries and vendor management. And now my current career stage inclination is towards gaining more cross functional experience within research and insights.
