About Vivek Balaraman
I presently work in the area of computational modeling and simulation of human populations who are engaged in decision making or task execution. The goal is to come out with models that will enable us to understand, analyze and forecast the macro behaviour of such populations. The models use theories drawn from multiple disciplines: social psychology, cognitive science, sociology, personality studies, experiment science, simulation and modeling particularly multi-agent based simulation, machine learning, evolutionary computing and various flavours of game theory. I view my current work and interests as a natural extension to my past work as a researcher in various fields of Artificial Intelligence.
