ABOUT VIV EVANS

Viv founded Hampton Gate consultancy in 2010. Viv has practiced town planning for 40 years bringing considerable knowledge and experience of the planning system in England. He has been Head of Planning Services at six Local Authorities in England. He has also been Corporate Director and Chief Executive at Hart District Council between 20••••10 giving him a wide ranging perspective on senior management in the public sector.Viv has worked in planning at Lambeth, as Head of Planning Regeneration and Transport at Stevenage Bough Council, the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Borough of Lewisham.His experience has entailed managing major commercial and residential developments, as part of his responsibilities for strategic planning and regeneration, development management and building control. Viv was also responsible for putting in place a new Borough-wide Local Plan, the Estate regeneration programme, direct foreign investment and international partnerships. He was also programme sponsor for the \'Kingston Futures\' regeneration programme and the £35m \'mini Holland\' cycling programme funded by the Mayor of London.Viv has extensive experience in managing major complex projects.His company also deals with a wide range of private, public, corporate and voluntary sector clients. Viv is a chartered Town Planner elected to the RTPI in 1987. He obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Town Planning in 1983 from Birmingham Polytechnic and a Certificate in Management from Nottingham Trent University in
