About Vitoria Cordeiro
As a Posse Scholar I’ve always carried a deep sense of purpose and pride. Representing my roots, my peers, and my passions is what gives me the energy to keep going! While I was a student at Lowell High School, I was made one of the first official Student Ambassadors, not just welcoming new students but also being the school\'s main Portuguese translator, helping to break down communication barriers for families and teachers. My passion for language and cultural fluency earned the Seal of Biliteracy in Portuguese and a national Bronze Medal in French through the esteemed Grand Concours. I am a culture lover, my biggest passion is to explore new foods, languages and more that I can even think about.Leadership to me is so much greater than titles—it\'s about service, comprehension, and impact. Being a Peer Mediatorfrom Middlesex Community College program, I mediated important discussions between students and faculty, and led youth circles for high school and middle school students on social/school topics. In addition to being an active member of the National Honor Society, where I volunteered for food and hygiene drives for the benefit of members of our community. My most impactful leadership experience, however, was through four committed years in AFJROTC, where I rose to the top enlisted rank of Cadet Chief Master Sergeant and earned over 150 hours of community service, openly championing local veterans, coordinating park cleanups, and mentoring younger cadets. Outside of my academic and leadership existence, I\'m a firm believer in balance and self-expression. I\'m a cat lover (with one of my own!) and an adventurous at heart—be it hiking, or exploring new places. I also love old alternative music, specifically classic bands like The Smiths, Jeff Buckley and more. All together, I have a heart that is ready to question and courageous to answer.
