WORK HISTORY
Devops Consultant Lead Platform Engineer, Bdec (Hmrc) @Equal Experts
London, GB
BDEC (Bulk Data Exploitation Capability) serves as a secure data exploitation platform, operating within AWS, authorised to handle sensitive HMRC data. Its core purpose is to enable the Customer Compliance team to process and analyse vast volumes of unstructured data efficiently. This is essential for identifying and responding to compliance risks in diverse datasets, some of which are massive and complex. As a DevOps consultant on the project, my role involves ensuring the continuous maintenance, development, and support of BDEC. This includes designing and managing robust build, deployment, and configuration management systems for multi-tier applications and taking a lead on automation. My daily toolkit comprises Terraform, Packer, Python, Golang, and Bash. The focus here is on automation and cloud provisioning to streamline operations.
