Coded out rules in AWS Control Tower for setting up account factories for various groups of users suchas developers, junior and senior DevOps, and SRE’s. Set rules in AWS Config to continuously monitor and record the configuration of our AWS resources,tracking the changes over time, and continuously evaluating if these resources are compliant with ourConfig rules as they are modified over time. This was also extremely useful for some automaticremediation strategies in the case of real time violations of our compliance rules Migrated legacy applications on premise with F5 load balancers and bare metal linux servers on AWSgreenfield environment, set up VPCs, security groups, NACLs, subnets, AWS Transit Gateway, EC2s,Auto Scaling, Application Load Balancers, Route53 for DNS. Configured AWS Organizations for centrally managing multiple accounts, setting up guardrails andservice control policies to enforce strict limits on what developers are able to modify with certainresources. Coded out declarative Jenkins pipelines for various development teams to automate their build anddeployment processes. Worked with Active Directory groups for setting up different levels of user access to these environments.Depending on the user, they may have read-only access or have access to different AD groups withvarying degrees of write access Okta for SSO and MFA through the user’s mobile device. Wrote Ansible playbooks for automating patches in DEV, UAT, and PROD environments. Configured AWS WAF and Shield for blocking suspicious packets and for DDoS protection. Automated responses from RDS and DynamoDB databases through boto3 responses written in Pythonwith Lambda functions. Migrated SQL databases from on premise to AWS using AWS Database Migration Service. Reviewed security requirements, recommended a mitigation strategy for deficiencies, and collaborateddirectly with clients to provide solutions.
