Researched, POC\'ed, and implemented external-secrets operator with AWS Secrets Manager as a backend to serve as our secrets management solution for our on-prem Rancher K8s cluster.⇒ This involved setting up OIDC-related infra on AWS using S3, Cloudfront, and IAM via Terraform.⇒ Also involved deploying several K8s related services to facilitate injecting of the AWS creds to pods so they\'re able to assume roles to perform functions. Implemented automation for cert issuance/renewal for our on-prem Rancher K8s cluster with cert-manager and private cert issuer Sectigo, streamlining our certificate management process. Spearheaded successful migration from in-house K8s RBAC solution to EKS Access Entries.
