About Vishwas Paul

I had the privilege of growing up and learning in five vastly different countries. Each place that I have called home has given me a unique educational experience and a holistic perspective of the world. Most importantly, it\'s driven my interest in higher education policy, immigration policy, economic development, and the intersection between these issues. My goal, as a passionate public policy problem solver, has been to make higher education more equitable and accessible to all. My successes include-Establishing a free GRE preparatory program that would assist students in making test preparation financially accessible, while serving as the Undergraduate Representative to Syracuse University\'s Board of Trustees-Developing programming that bridged a gap between trustees and students and rekindle a sense of community and connectedness between those guiding the school\'s vision, and those most impacted by that vision-Working with the Dean of Students to develop an internship program that would hire students from diverse backgrounds to assist other students in the student disciplinary process. The program gives underserved students better advocacy during the conduct process and provides students with strong leadership skills the opportunity to become advocates for their peersI\'m currently pursuing my Masters of Public Policy at Georgetown University\'s McCourt School. There, I will be sharpening my policy design, implementation, and analysis skills to help solve some of the world\'s most pressing public policy problems.
