ABOUT VISHNU VIJAYAN

I am passionate about the advancements in automotive & sensor technology and eager to contribute to the innovation and development of safe, efficient, and sustainable mobility solutions. Currently, I work as a Data Scientist at COMPREDICT, where I develop advanced virtual sensor models to replace the hardware in modern vehicles and Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). My role involves algorithm and software development, model-based design, and applying deep domain knowledge in electronics, vehicle dynamics, and automotive systems to enable smarter, more efficient vehicles. I have also acquired skills in ADAS, sensor fusion for autonomous driving, automation, Radar, and perception algorithms. I enjoy solving real-world problems efficiently and thrive in an agile team environment. As a working student at Valeo, I assisted the R&D team in the ADAS, DRS-Radar Department with sensor calibration and testing. Additionally, I developed a strategic automation tool for efficient KPI estimation and executed Radar integration tasks. I hold a Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Italy. My Master’s thesis project, conducted at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, in collaboration with FKFS, involved pioneering new methods and algorithms for evaluating similar scenes from various driving datasets such as nuScenes, KITTI, and View of Delft. These methods have promising applications in autonomous driving.
