A wide, expansive 27-year career in television and online journalism in senior decision-making roles as a reporter, anchor and editor with New Delhi Television (NDTV), India\'s first 24-hour private news network. • Done structured one-on-one interviews of several important international leaders such as President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, US Secretary of State Ashton Carter, Canadian Defence Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan, Bill Gates, Henry Kissinger, Nobel Prize Awardee Shirin Ebadi among others. • Possesses an acute understanding of the 360-degree of the news business (across media platforms) in its entirety - including the challenges of advertising, distribution and marketing, the tussle for ratings, the reality of fake news and the profound impact of social media in defining the content of news in India. • Over the past decade and more, has been closely involved in writing for, creating video content and disseminating news on NDTV\'s digital portal, ndtv.com. Understands the critical role the internet plays in the process of modern-day news proliferation. Has covered the Ukraine, Afghanistan, Congo, Kargil and Iraq wars and humanitarian disasters around the world and interacted closely with various arms of the UN, International Red Cross, and Medecins Sans Frontieres. • Leads multiple editorial teams daily comprising journalists, producers, graphics designers, video editors, guest coordinators and camera-crew associated with the daily broadcast of prime time shows on NDTV.
