Senior SDET with 8+ years of experience across fintech, e-commerce, and media, specializing in test architecture for microservices, event-driven systems, and distributed platforms—not just writing test cases, but engineering quality at scale. What I Do At Rakuten Rewards, I own quality engineering for a high-throughput affiliate tracking microservice handling millions of transactions. My work includes: • Designing integration test suites using Spock/Groovy, TestContainers, embedded Kafka, and WireMock — enabling deterministic validation of event-driven flows • Building end-to-end test frameworks using Docker Compose and pytest against real dependent services (Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis) • Conducting performance testing with k6 across smoke, step, and stress scenarios using dynamic, production-like test data • Identifying critical security defects — including authentication bypass vulnerabilities across multiple environments • Integrating automated test pipelines into CI/CD (GitHub Actions) with PR-level quality gates and reporting • Driving production observability with Datadog dashboards for Kafka lag, Redis health, and failure rates What Sets Me Apart I don’t just test features — I investigate systems.
