About Vishal Varadarajan
As a pre-med and public health student at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I aspire to enter the medical field and work to advance healthcare equity. My research has ranged from studying the association between dengue fever and diabetes in the Dominican Republic to exploring genetic variants associated with cardiomyopathy. In addition, I have written research papers and literature reviews on topics in the humanities, bioethics, and medicine. Beyond my academic and professional pursuits, I am committed to the cultural performing arts. I am currently a captain of UNC Chalkaa, a competitive Bollywood fusion dance team, and I have 10 years of experience in various Indian dance forms. Additionally, I have 12+ years of experience in Carnatic vocal and flute music. In my free time, I love singing, dancing, playing the flute, and producing music. I look forward to connecting!
