ABOUT VISHAL TRIPATHI
I am a lawyer by qualification who gravitated towards policy after completing law from National Law University, Gandhinagar. I see myself as a generalist who leverages his natural curiosity to build competence in any new or familiar area of research. However, I am particularly interested in the policy and legal challenges that lie at the intersection of global health, energy systems and the climate crisis.I completed my master\'s studies in public policy at the Hertie School of Governance, Berlin. I opted for the Policy Analysis Concentration and through my courses, I have equipped myself with adequate knowledge of statistics and data skills (in R). For my Master\'s Thesis, I critically investigated the impact of public sector digitalization on frontline health workers in India. Currently, I am working as a Consultant at CEEW in their Power Markets team. My work is geared towards decarbonizing the power sector and providing policy inputs on making India\'s electricity market design fit for purpose. Previously at NITI Aayog, I worked extensively on health policy and governance reforms under the Aspirational Districts Programme.I also nurture my deep interest in public international law, history and international relations, specifically focusing on China, through reading and writing.
