Leading tech, product innovation and strategy at Varaha, a startup that aims to transform the way carbon credits operate. As the CTO, I oversee the entire technology strategy, architecture, and development of our products and services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and security. Prior to Varaha, I held engineering leadership roles at Flipkart and bigbasket.com, two of the most successful e-commerce platforms in India. There, I was responsible for building and managing scalable microservices, solving critical challenges in inventory, delivery, and customer data management, and spearheading the transition from monolithic to distributed systems. I also mentored and trained a team of high-performing engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and innovation. Typical deliverables & Achievements: Technology: - Engineering an entire overhaul of the tech stack for a Multitenant SaaS solution. - Embraced the cloud first strategy which helped us to quickly and efficiently scale the system horizontally to suit the seasonal needs. - Led the evaluation of any emerging technologies to determine potential benefits and working with CxO's to get the activities prioritised.
