I\'m drawn to the dynamic interplay between marketing and analytics and how it fuels innovation across industries. The ability of data-driven insights to shape and revolutionize businesses truly excites me. My journey began in 2016 when I embarked on my entrepreneurial venture, shopmlmc. Through this experience, I discovered my passion for the business landscape. I was a one woman show, from posting on social media, running Meta ads, fulfilling sales, and updating inventory. When conducting my jewelry business, I would set KPIs and explore sales, customer trends, and algorithms to improve my business further. This was the first time I noticed the connection between data and business. During my courses at NC State, I was exposed to the potential of blending marketing processes with predictive analytics. This sparked my interest in visualization by analyzing consumer trends with Tableau and forecasting when exposed to Excel. I decided to take this a step further and take a course in SAS, which also opened the opportunity to coding in R and Python. I analyzed topics ranging from data on various types of beans to the factors tying into the Top 10 Spotify songs. This made me learn one thing—whether it\'s something as simple as a legume or something exciting like music, data was everywhere. All these factors motivated me to further my education in this field.
