As a school counselor, my primary role is to support the academic, emotional, and social development of students. I provide guidance to help students overcome personal or academic challenges, manage stress, and develop positive behavior and decision-making skills. I assist students in setting academic goals, choosing subjects, and planning for future careers. I also counsel students dealing with issues such as anxiety, bullying, peer pressure, or family-related concerns. In addition to individual counseling, I collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure a supportive learning environment and offer career guidance through orientation and awareness sessions. I play an important role in identifying learning difficulties and ensuring students receive the necessary support. Furthermore, I am also actively involved in handling all the official work that the school requires to be provided to students, parents, and teachers—this includes documentation, circulars, reports, communication letters, and other administrative tasks necessary for smooth school operations.
