Associate Professor, joined the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick in 2017 and is part of the PEATER group. He has been working in the wide bandgap (WBG) materials research activity and runs the UK’s only Silicon Carbide (SiC) epitaxial facility at Warwick. His research interests are driven by the challenge of improving semiconductor materials and devices, having completed a PhD in physics at Warwick in 2009. He has over 10 years’ experience developing semiconductor materials and technologies for numerous application areas including power electronics, quantum technology, photovoltaics, CMOS, MEMS and sensing. He has written 2 patents, and published 43 journal papers, 37 conference papers, four book chapters and made over 50 conference contributions, with an h-index of 16 and over 905 citations (Google Scholar) as of January 2021.https://warwick.ac.uk/vishalshah
