About Vishal Pandya

As an aerospace professional with a foundation in mechanical and aeronautical engineering, I’m driven by a strong passion for system-level thinking and innovation in the industry. My journey began in mechanical system design, where I contributed to critical aircraft programs by developing flight test installations for the Boeing and 737 MAX, authoring FAA-compliant documentation, and supporting design integration across various aircraft sections.Over time, my perspective expanded from engineering individual components to understanding how complex aerospace systems function as a whole. This shift led me to transition into my current role as a Systems Engineer at Boeing, where I focus on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). I develop SysML-based architectures for systems of systems, lead digital transformation efforts, and ensure functional, logical, and requirement traceability across the engineering lifecycle. My work supports the move from document-driven approaches to fully integrated model-based frameworks, aligning with industry best practices and future-facing strategy.I hold a Master’s in Astronautics and Space Engineering from Cranfield University, where I designed a deployable structure for a 3U CubeSat that launched aboard SpaceX’s CRS-22 mission. Most recently, I completed a second Master’s in Engineering Management from California State University, East Bay, equipping me with the leadership, project management, and systems integration insight needed to support large-scale aerospace programs.What drives me today is the opportunity to contribute to the aerospace industry at a strategic level—where engineering innovation, digital ecosystems, and systems thinking come together to shape the future of flight.
