About Vishal Dhingra

As an Architect & Urban Designer with over Eight years work experience in domestic and international region, I am committed to creating quality livelihood for people and nature while maintaining the simplicity of expression to most appealing design. I completed Bachelor degree from Maharishi Dayanand University in 2014, and gained Master’s degree in Urban Design from National University of Singapore in 2019. Afterwards my masters I have worked as an Urban Designer with Surbana Jurong Pvt ltd. And gained experience in city scale urban design development and mast planning.To initiate my professional vocation back in 2012, I trained under award winning urban planning firm “ISA Internationals Stadtbauatelier” and worked on varied urban scale projects in Germany and some other parts round the globe. Some key projects on which I collaboratively worked with ISA are public spaces of the city of Pforzheim & Sindelfingen, Germany & Shanghai, China. From 2014 to 2016, I contributed as a Design Manager at RSP Architects and Planners, India where I primarily dealt with real estate projects of reputed groups like Adani’s, Hero group, Bennett group and IREO. Later, I worked with DDF Consultants Pvt. Ltd, and contributed in Central and state government’s large-scale architecture master planning, Public realm, Healthcare and Institutional projects, during three years of tenure with DDF, we bid for twelve Govt. competition projects and won eight out of them, most of which are in implementation stage now. Being a socially inclined practitioner, I have also volunteered for an NGO-Hazard Centre- to research on “Architectural interpretation for Kathputli slum dwellers” and my article was acknowledged and published in the National Magazine -Governance Now- in 2014.

   We are team of architects,designers,and planners working together to build a more Sustainable and livable community.\"Banyan Fig, the name defines all. We are not a firm, we are a community, an institution inspired by a Banyan tree. Associating oursleves to the figure of a Banyan tree, spreaded all over with its foliage, providing shade, standing on a massive trunk with numerous branches falling on ground and making it firmer. We are the branches and our idea is the trunk, strong and practical. We are an open organization intended to work with all possible artist in allied fields to serve in all direction. As we grow more (branches) the trunk will be strengthen. At Banyan Fig, we don’t just deliver work, we nourish them till it become firm, just like a banyan.\"
