The District Youth Officer (DYO) is the head of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) in the district and serves as the key functionary responsible for implementing youth-related programs of the Government of India at the district level.They act as a link between the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MoYAS), the State NYKS office, and grassroots youth clubs. Key ResponsibilitiesYouth Club Development ProgrammesNational Youth Volunteer SchemeTraining and capacity-building programmes (Life Skills, Leadership, Civic Education, etc.)3. Coordination and NetworkingCoordinate with:District Administration (Collector, Line Departments)Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs)Educational Institutions, NSS/NCC, NGOsCorporate CSR bodies for youth-related initiativesRepresent NYKS in District-level Committees, especially in areas like skill development, sports, and social welfare.4. Monitoring, Evaluation & ReportingSupervise the work of National Youth Volunteers (NYVs) and guide them in village-level activities.Maintain records, registers, reports, and documentation of activities, expenditures, and outcomes.Submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the Zonal/State NYKS Directorate.Conduct field visits to assess impact and identify best practices or issues.5. Financial ManagementAct as Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) for the district NYK.Ensure proper accounting, utilization, and auditing of government funds.Handle honorarium disbursement to NYVs and payments for project activities.6. Leadership and Administrative ControlSupervise District NYK staff (Account Clerk-cum-Typist, Multi-Tasking Staff, NYVs).Lead district-level youth forums and encourage youth to take up leadership roles.7. Public Relations and CommunicationPromote awareness about government youth programs through media, campaigns, and social media.

namaste vishal dhakad this side.Hope you are doing good.I graduated from Ramjas college(university of delhi) in 2022 with my subjects as history and political science.During college days I started preparing for upsc cse and appeared for two times in personality test in upsc cse 20•••••••51) and in 20•••••••77).i have scored a decent score of 420 in gs in 2023 with one of the highest marks in gs 2(125) gs 3(94) and in gs 4(122) and also a good score of 250 in my sociology optional in 2024.my interest lies in analysing gender based stratification systems in India and taking insights from mythological stories in daily life.
