WORK HISTORY
Global Portfolio Liaison @Savory Institute
Boulder, CO, US
As the Global Portfolio Liaison at Savory Institute, I lead the design and development of high-impact, fundable initiatives that regenerate the world’s grasslands and strengthen local communities. I specialize in translating complex global challenges and funder priorities into implementable, landscape-scale solutions rooted in Holistic Management and ecological integrity. With over 15 years of experience in strategic project development, collaborative partnerships, and philanthropic fundraising, I work at the intersection of systems thinking, regenerative agriculture, and climate resilience. My role bridges vision and execution—bringing together cross-functional teams, regional implementation Hubs, and diverse funding partners to co-create context-specific, community-driven projects with lasting impact. From early-stage ideation through full proposal delivery and contracting, I ensure every initiative is rooted in local context and aligned with global strategies and ethical collaboration standards.Savory facilitates the large-scale regeneration of the world’s grasslands and the livelihoods of their inhabitants, through Holistic Management. Grasslands encompass 40% of Earth’s land surface and 70% of global agricultural areas, providing food and fiber for humans, critical habitat for countless species, livelihoods for 2 billion+ livestock farmers and pastoralists, and climate resilience to our planet. Collectively, grasslands hold one third of Earth’s carbon stocks and comprise the world’s largest terrestrial carbon sink—with the potential to sequester much more.Savory offers replicable nature-based solutions for the planet to address large-scale environmental degradation. Our approach ensures both environmental and socioeconomic uplift with quantifiable, traceable and transparent monitoring down to specific GPS coordinates, while engaging existing market forces to generate long-term financial and environmental returns for local communities.

ABOUT VIRGINIE POINTEAU
I lead the design and stewardship of complex, international portfolios focused on regenerative agriculture, grasslands restoration, and climate resilience—bridging strategy, capital, and implementation.Over the past 15+ years, I’ve worked across NGOs and global partnerships to translate funder and organizational priorities into implementable, high-integrity land regeneration initiatives. My work sits at the intersection of portfolio design, strategic partnerships, and on-the-ground feasibility. I’ve led the design of multi-country initiatives spanning regenerative grazing, Holistic Planned Grazing, agroforestry, and landscape-scale restoration—working closely with funders, implementers, technical experts, and local partners across diverse cultural contexts. I am familiar with outcome-based ecological monitoring frameworks, including Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV), and experienced integrating monitoring considerations into landscape-scale project design and stewardship.I thrive in remote-first, flexible environments that prioritize trust, clarity, and outcomes. I’m highly collaborative, deeply organized, and comfortable with international travel and cross-cultural leadership. I’m always interested in thoughtful conversations with organizations and leaders working at the forefront of regenerative land use, climate mitigation, and nature-based solutions.
