ABOUT VIRGINIA FELTON
As a professional working in higher education student affairs, I am passionate about the students, faculty/staff, and the college experience that can be offered to those involved. I want to create a sense of belonging and support those around me holistically. I believe in accessible and equitable practices, and I strive to create spaces for all to feel they have a place in the system of higher education. I focus my work on leadership education and development, not only for students, but for colleagues and myself. I aim to create opportunities for learning and encourage those around me to try new things and step out of their comfort zone. I believe in the power of student organizations and building community. I am particularly passionate about sorority and fraternity life, helping students help break down systemic barriers and ensure all students find a sense of belonging. This can be achieved through leadership education and development, ensuring students feel a part of something bigger than themselves, and helping them understand who they are as a person first.Higher education is my calling.
