About Virginia Coglianese

My hero started her own business without even having a college degree. She was an immigrant to this country and hadn’t been raised to be strong and empowered. Her confidence was self-taught and not a part of her upbringing. She did not come from money and had nothing to invest. The odds were stacked against her, yet with grit and tenacity she overcame the odds and followed her dream to become an entrepreneur. This woman is my mother. At the young age of twelve, I started to accompany my mom to her business and watched as she built her legacy from scratch. Through observing her and her associates, I gained an immense knowledge on customer service, selling skills, KPI development, management, coaching & developing others, expense management and good old hard work. By the age of sixteen, I led all other associates in product sales. Over the last two and a half decades, I’ve sharpened the skills I first learned in that business and have been able to influence hundreds of people through coaching, training, facilitation of large group instruction, content development, sales, service and management. Through my roles as a Sales Trainer, Territory Manager and General Manager I have been able to continue the legacy of grit, tenacity, and hard work that I learned from my hero. In such, I have inspired associates from entry level and new hire positions through to top management and ‘C Suite’ executives. Trusted with high scale visibility projects at all levels of my career, I gained an untarnished track record of improving performance with those I engage with. My resume illustrates the successes I’ve achieved in my years of work. What it doesn’t show is how I achieved the often seemingly unattainable goals I had to reach to gain success. It doesn’t show the dedication, confidence, ethics or my unwavering desire to keep moving even under intense pressure. It doesn’t show my mother’s daughter who has set out to succeed and bring success to others. Galileo once said, “You cannot teach a man anything, you can only help him find it within himself.” My mother, my hero, did this for me and it is what I embark on in every role I take as a teacher, a coach, a mentor, a leader and as a person.
