Key Responsibilities- Ensure the effective implementation and continual improvement of the company’s EHS policy across all levels of the organization-Develop and execute the Internal Audit Plan as per IS 14489, track non-conformities, and ensure timely closure of identified gaps- Conduct internal ISO audits (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.), assess compliance status, and support in external audits- Identify and address safety concerns during plant rounds, audits, and routine inspections to mitigate risks proactively- Play a key role in cross-functional safety audits, collaborate with audit teams, and ensure follow-ups for compliance- Promote and support the development of a strong BBS culture through employee engagement and awareness programs- Ensure adherence to PTW and LOTOTO procedures to prevent hazardous energy-related incidents- Lead investigations of near misses, dangerous occurrences, and fire incidents; prepare detailed reports with Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)- Conduct safety induction for new employees and refresher training sessions to enhance safety awareness- Regularly monitor workplace conditions, conduct hazard assessments, and analyze safety performance data- Maintain inventory, procurement, and control of safety items, ensuring availability and compliance- Conduct periodic emergency drills, evaluate response effectiveness, and improve emergency preparedness measures- Assist in drafting SOPs, work instructions, and Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) to ensure safe job execution- Ensure safety compliance of contractors and visitors, conduct safety briefings, and monitor their adherence to safety guidelines- Support initiatives related to environmental sustainability, occupational health monitoring, and hazard control programs- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for building a proactive safety culture, promoting leadership involvement, and fostering employee participation.
