Within this role I have had the opportunity to work on some of Sky’s most exciting programmes including a setting up the Sky SDWAN Service, NAC implementation, Leeds Docks Centre of Excellence campus, as well as a number of other high profile projects and programmes within Sky, spanning across infrastructure, network, data centre, Sky Products and Security functions.Highlights:• SDWAN: Objective is to deliver a work for Secure home solution for developers using headless devices such as Set Top Boxes (STB), Mobile devices, Tablets, Raspberry Pi’s and games consoles. Requirements gathering, Planning, Design, Implementation, Financial forecasting, Budgets, Project reporting, Steering group, RFP.• Deployment of Network Access Control (NAC): Implementation across the Sky estate to improve network security. Project management of Workstreams for Site implementations for monitor and closed mode and snagging: Requirements gathering, Planning, Design, Implementation, Financial forecasting, Budgets, Project reporting, Steering group, Operation Acceptance Criteria and Support. • NOW TV Geo Break Out • Leeds Docks Centre of Excellence (Sky 1,2,3): Full responsibility for the usual full project lifecycle activities – business case and budget approvals, requirements gathering from very technical teams existing and new, resource and budget management, tendering for works and suppliers, procurement, communications, design and cabling. Creation of a state-of-the-art facilities to accommodate up to 950+ users. • Hub Refit: Floor-by-floor refurbishment of HUB, uplift capacity from 400 to 700 users. • DVN OTT expansion – Managed the build of a new platform to support the expansion and virtualization of Sky’s backend production IPTV environment. • End Of Life DC Switch Business Case Preparation: Analysed, created and presented £1M Business case to Tech Exec for Technical Debt Switch replacements at Sky Data Centers.
